Our Executive Medical programmes at ‘The Well’ in Beacon Consultants Clinic have been designed to identify any existing health problems, assess your disease risk factors and to provide you with the tools and recommendations to achieve a healthy and balanced lifestyle. ‘The Well’ provides three levels of health screening medicals and include a very comprehensive range of tests geared towards the primary prevention of disease with an emphasis on the requirements of both our male and female visitors, stress management and the making of positive lifestyle changes.
- Silver Medical - particularly recommended for visitors under the age of 40
- Platinum Executive Medical & Diamond Executive Medical - particularly for those between the ages of 40 and 60
- The ‘New Horizons’ Medical - particularly for those over the age of 60
All results are available and explained in detail on the day of the medical, including all blood results.
A full and complete written report with the interpretation of the results and advice about behavioural and lifestyle modification will be sent to you within seven working days following your health screening medical. With your consent, a copy of this report will also be sent to your GP which is something that we strongly encourage.
Based on the result of the health screening medical, there are also a range of additional tests that can be provided based on clinical indication or with a referral from your consultant doctor on the day. These include the use of a CT scanner to screen for coronary artery disease or to screen the lung and colon for abnormalities which may include cancers. There is also an ultrasound service available for further investigations as appropriate.
We have also designed a range of lifestyle programmes which you may wish to choose from or which you may be recommended to complete following your medical. These programmes include a Lifestyle and Weight Management Programme and a 'Sleep Well' programme to uncover the causes of disturbances in sleep patterns, excessive sleepiness or loud snoring.
It is possible to claim the cost of your medical back against your personal taxes at the end of the year. Many insurance companies also now have an allowance toward health screening. Further details are available here.
